The James Tyler Retro name says it all. The Retro and Hot Retro humbuckers are vintage vibe pickups with a lower output to resemble classic PAF tones. Unlike most PAF style pickups, the Retro and Hot Retro are much stronger and rounder in tone, without the excessive brightness or edginess associated with many PAF’s. It’s a good choice for those who are after a smoother sounding and stronger PAF. We recommended the Retro and Hot Retro for country, rock, jazz, and many other styles.

Each James Tyler humbucker uses the highest quality, low capacitance 4-conductor lead wires, made of 18 strands of individually silver plated oxygen free copper wire, and then insulated with Teflon. The insulation does not melt when you solder, and the wire won’t hum when you touch it.
