Amazing amp! Bravo, Lerxst and the entire Mojotone team! If you're trying to get close to Alex's late 70's & early 80's-era tones (from Hemispheres to Moving Pictures), this amp captures those Hiwatt+Marshall Club & Country-era tones without breaking a sweat (esp. when paired with a suitable CE-1 clone such as PastFx's Chorus Ensemble). Although the Lerxst Omega was modeled after a Marshall Silver Jubilee, the Chi's clean channel is more Hiwatt+Marshall Club & Country than Silver Jubilee--and that's a good thing! Prior to this, I had largely dispensed with my old tube amps in favor of digital modelers (Axe-Fx III), but the Chi Combo has changed my mind. I still love the Axe-Fx, but running it alongside the Chi (or in the Chi's effects loop) thickens up my tone while preserving clarity. By the way, the Lerxst By-Tor Boost/Overdrive pedal also sounds great in front of the amp! In fact, combining By-Tor with Chi's Clean channel effectively gives you an extra lead channel.
