Mojotone faithfully recreated that vintage P-90 sound using vintage spec plain enamel wire, alnico 4 magnets on the neck pickup, and alnico 5 magnets for the RWRP bridge pickup. The neck pickup is clear and fat, while the bridge pickup has excellent note definition and bite with plenty of grind.

Great Pickups!!!!!

Absolutely phenomenal pickups!!!
I put them in an Epi Les Paul Studio(no maple cap).
They replaced a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat and Alnico II PAF.
The guitar sounded really good w/ the Seymour Duncans, but it was always missing something.
But the Mojotone humbucker sized p90's just woke it up. MASSIVE difference!!! Much closer to the p90 tone I was expecting than the Phat Cat.
Crisp, edgy, almost chimy.
Great cleans, really dynamic w/ pick attack, incredible rock tone.
Can't say how happy I am w/ the sound.

I got these to replace the humbuckers in my Les Paul Studio after I purchased an LP standard. Gave my guitar new life. They sound absolutely huge for riff rock and blues. They clean up well when you roll off the volume. They have humbucker girth when you need it. Humbucker sized p90s are a tough thing to get right based on what I’ve seen out there on the market. Love the pairing of alnico 5 in bridge and 4 in the neck. Traditional p90 are Alinco 5 but doing the 4 in the neck gives it just a slightly different balance that is more versatile. It sounds like a vintage p90 like you’d expect. These things are hot and they rip. Great for the lighter body lp studio kind of guitars to really give them some extra punch. Recommend!
