Mojotone Lite CabinetsMojo Lite Cabinets
We are now offering a new line of Mojotone cabs, the Mojotone Lite Series, whose philosophy and construction differ radically from our normal offerings. The idea was to make a good sounding, attractive cab that was as economical as possible--both for people who want a small, light, inexpensive cab, and people who want to take advantage of our excellent loaded speaker pricing. The material we chose was 1/2" Philippine mahogany ply; this wood is slightly lighter than Baltic birch, and has a consistent face and low void content. The construction method used is that of cleat reinforced butt joints as opposed to the 1/4" straight finger joints used on our traditional Mojotone Select cabs; in light of this, we do not recommend stacking more than 150lbs on top of a Mojotone Lite speaker cabinet. These cabs performed remarkably well in sound tests so please check out the sound clips available under specific loaded cabinet options. These cabinets are currently available from stock with black levant tolex and Fender-style black white silver grillcloth only. This grill cloth may not match exactly with any material previously purchased from Mojotone, nor with that of any previously purchased Mojotone reproduction. or Select Series speaker cabinet, so please feel free to request a sample prior to purchasing our Mojotone Lite speaker cabinets.
