The machete is a blade design for the distortion player in mind. Massive sustain, huge growl, and a big attack are the hallmarks of this pickup. This set will crunch the front end of your amp if you want or lower the volume on your guitar to hit it a little easier for a slightly cleaner tone. Your plain strings won't get lost in the mud with this set either. Plenty of high end where its needed and buried where it's not. Choose two or four magnets depending on the power you need. Two will give you a slightly cleaner tone with less output while four will make for maximum output and sustain.

We carefully selected the perfect blend of period correct materials such as our Alnico magnets, plain enamel wire, vintage spec screws, vintage braided single conductor wire, and nickel silver baseplates to replicate a true PAF pickup that sounds and looks like the very best examples from the past. All pickups are lightly wax potted to eliminate annoying feedback.
