Lee Dickson "Black Series" Stratocaster Electric Guitar Pickup Set

2112011-set
Lee Dickson was Eric Clapton's guitar technician for over 30 years.

These strat pickups were designed by Lee Dickson with Mojo. They are his interpretation of an iconic sound and are based after original 1974 strat pickups. Clarity and shimmer are the highlights of this set. Sonic definition with an emphasis on high end. A set for the player who wants to cut through the mix.

We’ve all heard and seen the legendary sonic staple that is Blackie on various albums and performances, and have been left mesmerized by the qualities that have made it an icon. Well here’s your chance to own your own set of pickups just like Clapton had in his strat. Best described as slinky, with a snappy bass end and clear highs, this pickup set sounds even better with an overdrive lightly coloring its vivid tone.

In conjunction with Mojo, pickup designer Lee Dickson has recreated the shimmering highs and cutting clarity that slices through the mix with his interpretation of an iconic sound. All pickups are wound in the same direction with no RWRP middle.

Mojotone Classic P-90 Electric Guitar Pickup Single

p90-classic
Mojotone Classic P-90 guitar pickups are extremely well balanced with a tight and round tone. These come stock with Alnico 5 magnets for the bridge pickup and Alnico 4 for the neck pickup, and vintage spec plain enamel wire. For a super versatile P-90 that cleans up nicely and overdrives smoothly, the Classic P-90's are the right choice. The bridge pickup was modeled after a killer sounding 1960 Les Paul Jr pickup that measured 8.6k! They still have a lower output without being overly bright or thin sounding, especially when using gain. The neck pickup is RWRP to allow for hum-canceling between the two.

Mojotone Clone '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar Pickup Single

tele-clone52
Clones of the original '52 Tele "blackguard" pickups, using flat Alnico 3 magnets, vintage-spec plain enamel wire, a deep drawn chrome brass cover for the neck pickup, and a copper plated baseplate for the bridge pickup. All original manufacturing methods are the same with handwound coils, and wax potted coils. Both neck and bridge coils are wound in the same direction and magnetized the same polarity just like the originals. We voiced these around the best examples we encountered from the blackguard era. The neck pickup is so clear and soft with lots of articulation. The bridge pickup has just the right amount of mids with clear wide open twang and snap. These pickups really let you dial your amp in for the best possible tone.

Rene Martinez "Hybrid" Stratocaster Electric Guitar Pickup Set

2112013-set
Rene Martinez was originally Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar tech. He also worked with, Eddie Brickell, Mick Jones of Foreigner, Clint Black, Prince, The Moody Blues, Jimmie Vaughan, Carlos Santana, and currently John Mayer.

Mojotone is excited to work with such a renowned luthier to develop the new Rene Martinez "Hybrid" Strat Pickups. These were developed to emulate that specific and unique "Texas Tone" which was inspired by the one and only SRV.

The magnets are customized Alnico III in the neck and middle and Alnico V in the bridge to give a full and balanced tone. You get that clean, ultra clear neck and middle tone that lets your amp shape your tone, while the bridge pickup is hotter with more girth and punch, and a sonic clarity that cuts through with attitude. The coils are calibrated from neck to bridge for an even volume throughout the switching and have a reverse wound middle.

Be the first in your town to own a set designed by such a renowned luthier. These come stock with staggered magnets with a raised D specifically for unwound 3rd string sets.
