Mojotone "Hot Rod" Strat pickups were designed to have increased output without sacrificing clarity or losing the exceptional tone of a Strat. Unlike most high output single coil Strat pickups, these pickups remain very clear and articulate while driving your amp harder to achieve a more aggressive tone. These come stock with staggered magnets with a raised D specifically for unwound 3rd string sets. Level poles is an option for flatter radius fingerboards and will accommodate left and right handed players.

Mojotone "Knockout" Strat pickups sound like P-90's with excellent punch and grind with authority. These utilize adjustable polepieces with two bar magnets across the bottom just like a P-90 pickup. We designed them to retain the clarity of a Strat pickup with a fatter and more aggressive tone. If you are looking for a fat strat tone with excellent clarity, output, sustain, and harmonics, then our Knockout Strat pickups are the perfect solution. They can withstand all styles of music from Jazz to Rock and everything in between.

Classic Wound for Strat represent superb examples of a 50's clear and glassy tone. These are built stock with staggered alnico 5 magnets, and vintage spec heavy formvar wire. Carefully calibrated so that the neck, middle and bridge are balanced in volume and character throughout all positions. The neck pickup is clear while the middle pickup is RWRP to achieve hum-canceling in positions 2 and 4. The bridge pickup has excellent output and punch compared to most vintage pickups. Choose Alnico 2 magnets for a warmer tone, faster breakup, more articulation, and less of a glassy tone than Alnico 5. These come stock with staggered magnets with a raised D specifically for unwound 3rd string sets. Level poles is an option for flatter radius fingerboards and will accommodate left and right handed players.

Mojotone has cloned the original 1959 Strat pickups that recreate the unmistakable 1959 tone. We copied an original set of 1959 strat pickups that really caught our attention and stood out as something very special. We just had to recreate these. Each coil is handwound in the same direction to the exact same specifications. We painstakingly went out of our way to use the exact same materials and manufacturing methods. Sand cast Alnico 5 hand beveled magnets, vintage-spec heavy Formvar coil wire, lacquered bobbins, and wax potted just like the originals. These have amazing warmth and clarity that absolutely nail that 1959 strat sound. Sold as sets of 3 only.

Each pickup is wound in the same direction using vintage spec plain enamel wire, staggered non-beveled Alnico 5 magnets, lacquered bobbins, and wax potted. Mojotone is excited to work with such a renowned luthier to develop the new Rene Martinez "Hybrid" Strat Pickups. These were developed to emulate that specific and unique "Texas Tone" which was inspired by the one and only SRV.

The magnets are customized Alnico III in the neck and middle and Alnico V in the bridge to give a full and balanced tone. You get that clean, ultra clear neck and middle tone that lets your amp shape your tone, while the bridge pickup is hotter with more girth and punch, and a sonic clarity that cuts through with attitude. The coils are calibrated from neck to bridge for an even volume throughout the switching and have a reverse wound middle.
