Brittish Celestion G12M-65 Creamback 16 Ohms

1000123
The G12M Greenback is perhaps the definitive vintage Celestion ceramic magnet guitar speaker. Developed in the mid-sixties, it was quickly adopted by players like Hendrix, Clapton, Beck and Page, who typified the louder and more aggressive blues rock playing styles that came to characterize that era.The G12M-65 Creamback produces the familiar woody G12M tone, but handles greater power making it ideally suited for today's amps, when a vintage tone is desired. The increased power handling brings with it low end grunt complementing the warm and vocal mid range, crunchy upper- mids and sweet, refined highs.

British Celestion Vintage 30 Speaker 12'' 100 dB 16Ohm

1000026-L
Back in 1986 a new breed of hard rock player was on the rise. To meet the demands of the players and their increasingly ‘hot-rodded’ amplifiers, Celestion set out to develop a modern speaker, capable of handling much more power and overdrive. To achieve this, Celestion coupled their ‘H’ magnet (the closest in performance to Alnico) with a new cone and voice coil employing contemporary materials.

Celestion's most revealing speaker, the Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage 3D crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including Slash, Steve Stevens and Peter Frampton.

British Celestion G12M Heritage Speaker 12'' 16 OHM

1000106-L
The original G12M of the 1960s was Celestion’s first guitar speaker to use a ceramic magnet and paved the way for high power guitar amplifiers. The G12M uses a medium weight magnet to produce a sound that is smooth and warm but bright enough to hold its own against any rock backline.

Known simply these days as the ‘Greenback’, the G12M’s fabled ‘brown tone’ is characterised by a warm, controlled low-end, a rich, vocal mid-range and a delicate, detailed top-end. Loaded into a 4x12 and driven hard, these speakers exude warm, crunchy chords and sweet searing single-notes.

1000030s.jpg

British Celestion G12M Greenback Speaker 12" 16 OHM 98dB

1000030
Celestion's first guitar loudspeaker featuring a ceramic magnet structure, the G12M Greenback presented almost as much magnetic flux to the voice coil as an Alnico formulation, but in a much more compact space. As a result the Greenback became the guitar loudspeaker that paved the way for use with higher power amplifiers. And, of course, the ceramic magnet presented its own unique tonal characteristics.

The Greenback has a loud and assertive character that sounds great through a valve amp pushed into overdrive. The speaker has evolved over the decades and still presents that instantly familiar woody tone, delivered with a knock-out punch.

British Celestion G12H Heritage Speaker 12'' 8 OHM

1000107
If the G12M was to become a classic, it was the G12H with its heavier magnet that really characterised the sound of rock guitar for the new breed of player that emerged in the 1960s. Listen to any Hendrix recording and the chances are you’re hearing the unmistakably creamy tones of the G12H. Originally available in two versions – low resonance for bassists and high resonance for guitarists – both were in fact embraced by guitar players for their unique tonal characteristics.

The G12H(55) is a perfect recreation of the low resonance model, right down to the voice coil former material, glue formulations and vintage, solder-only tag panel. Suitable for use in all cabs, it exudes thick, syrupy tones with a deep, growling bottom end.

British Celestion G12-H Speaker 12'' 8 OHM 100dB

1000031
It’s hard to escape the sound of the G12H, just listen to any Hendrix recording and chances are you’ll be hearing a whole raft of them powering the guitar out of the mix.

With a heavier magnet than the G12M, this faithful recreation captures the unmistakable mojo of late 60s rock guitar tones. Used singly it exhibits a pleasing, strong low-end, but it’s in a 4x12 configuration that it generates the great chugging ‘thump’ that the guitar heroes of the day were renowned for. With a densely complex and buttery mid-range and a finely detailed top-end, the G12H is excellent for cranking out huge, dark power chords, with smooth and rich bridge pickup tones and flutey neck pickup tones.

British Celestion G12-H Speaker 12'' 16 OHM 100dB

1000032
Re-released for our 70th anniversary, the G12H evokes the sounds of the classic 1960s and ’70s rock bands.

Loud and proud thanks to its heavy magnet structure, the G12H provides a fusion of the Vintage 30 and the Greenback characteristics, producing a thick, warm and syrupy sound while still retaining a tight and focused bottom end.

When played clean, the speaker remains clear and musical without ever sounding harsh. In overdrive, pick attack is vividly articulated with sustained notes trailing off into warm harmonic tones.
