"...if you want to get as close as possible to vintage Gibson humbucker tone, the ’59 PAF Clones are a great way to go." -Guitar Player Magazine, May 2014

The 59' "Patent Applied For" Clones are for the tone purist. Authentic to every detail using all American made parts. 1959 spec butyrate bobbins, 1959 spec long leg frame, custom vintage spec plain enamel wire, custom alnico 4 cast magnets, maple spacer, vintage spec screws, and vintage spec slugs.

These are lower output than our standard version, making them much more articulate and crisp. Ideal for dark sounding guitars or just a neck pickup that needs a more single coil like clarity. The upper frequency range has exceptional bloom and lots of airy tone with the un-potted coils. We meticulously wound each coil with our own pattern and offset to represent what we believe to be the best vintage P.A.F. examples out there.

Clarity and grit built into one.

by Bryan -

I put these into my 2007 Les Paul classic and it totally changed the way I think PAFs should sounds like. There's some nice chimey action in the middle, grit in the bridge, and that dreamy warmth in the neck. For the money, these are the best bang for your buck to get that classic PAF sound from your head and in your guitar!

Transformative Pickups!

by Don Butler/ Toneman, Inc -

I have a 2002 Gibson R-0 (one of five made for GC that basically started the G-0 Series). I have tried for years to find a set of Humbuckings for this guitar that I really liked. I've had real PAF's, Pat.#'s, Throbaks, Wizz, OX-4's & Doyle's in the guitar. I didn't find any that excited me until your Mojotone's!! I play alot of different styles of music from Blues, Allman Bros(my friends!), early Clapton/Mayall, Mick Taylor/British Blues, to Pop & Country. These pickups have clarity, warmth, note detail and great harmonics. I can get all the great sounds I've wanted to get with these pickups! I should mention that this guitar has been to Historic Makeovers and is about as close to a vintage Les Paul as one can get (until the True Historics..). I am absolutely Thrilled with these. My R-0 has never sounded this amazing as it does with your pickups! Thanks!
