The 44 Magnum is the most powerful and aggressive passive humbucker Mojotone offers, designed to deliver lots of gain, articulation, and sustain with no loss of clarity or high end detail.

Highlights:

  • Coil tapping is strong and full sounding.
  • Powerful and rich mids make harmonics effortless and responsive much like an active pickup
  • Low tunings remain clear and defined with plenty of punch and tight attack
  • Smooth and balanced highs with no harsh overtones or loss of dynamics

Our special winding technique allows the frequency response of the pickup to be as broad as possible which makes for a more open sounding pickup. You could say that they “breathe”- allowing more frequencies to come through- unlike typical high output passive humbuckers which usually squash or box in your tone.

Worth the Price

by Todd -

Replaced a bad bridge pickup in my HH telecaster with the 44 Magnum and it is like a brand new guitar. Really growls and produces a nice focused and nuanced tone. Even with decent amounts of gain there is a surprising amount of clarity. It also sounds amazing clean, giving you a wide range of options. Running it through my Revv Generator 120 into a Mesa 4x12… DUDE! The 44 Magnum will flat out knock your socks off, take the change off your dresser, and steal your girlfriend.

INCREDIBLE MASTERS OF THE CHUG

by Doom Union -

Incredible pickup! Don’t let the 21k/15k scare you.
Bridge pickup: Tons of output, tight low end without being too stiff, tons of clarity, maintains the high end detail you tend to lose in the compression of high output pickups. Responds well to picking dynamics if you have the hammer of a downstroke or like to play expressively with your fingers it responds accordingly.
Split, these things have the single coil snap and twang, but can still chug like hell!. Love adding that tone when quad tracking.

Neck pickup: balances great with the bridge. Pretty hot, but smooth yet clear. Great for fast legato playing, sweeps. Roll back the volume and you get a pretty convincing blooz lead. Split sounds GREAT clean. great for everything from jazz to shred.

Overall these pickups are incredibly versatile, with its best qualities leaning toward the high gain crowd. If you’re looking for an alternative to active , or a Duncan Jb/Distortion. I would start with the 44 Magnum.
