Mojotone ‘58 “Quiet Coil™” prewired solderless pickguards are completely prewired to perfection with no soldering required. Just drop in and play. Our exclusive 7% tolerance CTS pots, Switchcraft jack, Mojotone Vitamin T capacitor, and CRL 5-way switch compliment what we believe to be the best sounding hum-canceling strat pickups ever made. With the Hot "Quiet Coil" in the bridge position, you get a more balanced output between positions and better sustain, for those who do not like the weaker vintage strat pickups in the bridge position. Carefully balanced in output from the neck, middle, to bridge positions, and completely hum-canceling in ALL positions!
Our approach was very simple, to make a hum-cancelling strat pickup that looks and sounds like a real single coil with minimal parts and adhering to actual vintage single coil attributes. Aside from the parts and materials used, we also matched the resonant peak frequency, and inductance of a vintage single coil, so they sit right in the frequency response and feel of a traditional single coil, without having to compensate for it. ‘58 “Quiet Coil™” strat pickups are passive and only use the same parts and materials found in original vintage ‘58 strat pickups. The HOT “Quiet Coil™” is still very much like a single coil with more midrange and bass for a heavier blues tone with sustain.
No PC boards, batteries, stacked coils, or anything else associated with other hum-canceling pickups were used in our design. The result is simply the most pure and authentic strat tone possible, with absolutely no loss of true single coil tone.
NOTE: With all Mojotone “Quiet Coil™” pickups, you never have to worry about string spacing and radius issues, or the magnets pulling the strings out of tune, and you can bend the strings heavily without ever losing focus or sustain. All of this while achieving perfect single coil strat tone and absolutely no hum!
Quiet Coil Design Features...
Consistent scatterwound coils for that handwound tone, sensitivity, and clarity.
Vintage formulated Alnico magnet cores with lower Gauss levels like an aged vintage strat pickup.
Vintage cloth covered leads for easy push-back soldering.
Matched resonant peak frequency, inductance, and resistance of a vintage single coil.
Vintage staggered polepieces for a traditional strat pickup look.
No routing modifications are required to fit shallow vintage routs like the taller stacked hum-cancelling designs.
Less than 10 parts are used to build the Quiet Coils. Like a vintage strat pickup, they are SIMPLE!

null Gave my 20 year old Jeff Beck Strat a fresh breath of life. I could drive the gain on my Victory Amp RK50 all the way to the max, set the guitar volume to just 2 and get a nice dynamic sounding clean tone and roared off to the races with a turn of the volume knob with no other hum other than the amp's own. I could've bought a set of Fender Noiseless pickups locally in Thailand where I live, but decided to take the chance of buying from Mojotone online and they did NOT disappoint at all. Good job!!!

Pleasantly Surprised! I wasn't expecting great tone out of these considering they are noiseless but I don't really have a choice because my house is old and the wiring is too noisy for single coils. I was completely blown away when I plugged in and played. They have everything a single coil has but without the hum. I'll definitely be buying more as funds allow and replacing all of my other noiseless pickups with Mojotone. Thank you!

null I wanted a wider tonal palette, so I asked for a pickguard with a 58 neck, 67 middle, and a hot bridge. When it arrived I quickly plopped it into a nice but still unshielded guitar, which I soon realized was a horrible mistake. The pickups are hum canceling, but they have unshielded leads, and the assembly picks up a lot of buzz unless you shield the guitar properly...
So I did a full shielding job on the guitar! This involved taping the cavities with copper and unscrewing everything from the pickguard to cover that in copper too, sealing the shield. Since every customer MUST shield the pickguard to get the most out of the pickups I honestly think mojotone should do it at the factory to save us the trouble! At least as an option for extra dollars.
My complaints end here though! ;-)
The pickups themselves are simply fabulous, and "Bruce" did the neatest soldering job I ever saw. This is quality stuff!
I fell instantly in love with my "new" guitar, the pickups sound great and respond in a very musical fashion to playing dynamics. I don't consider them to be a compromise that sacrifices tone for hum canceling, I see them as great sounding pickups that suit my taste perfectly, the hum canceling is just a bonus!
Mixing the 58 and 67 pickups for a wider palette turned out to be a great idea IMO. It's hard to describe sound in words, but I'll try:
The 58 neck has both fat lows and a gorgeous sparkly high end. It sound fantastic clean or semiclean, and works well for both melodic stuff and jazzy chords.
The 67 middle reigns in the lows and highs and brings forward a well-tuned midrange boost that takes gain like a champ. This is a great lead tone that cuts through without ever becoming too strident.
The hot bridge is well balanced in output with the others. I personally don't really like the tone of strat bridge pickups on their own and rarely use that position, so I always judge it based on if it works well in combination with the middle.
Which fortunately is the case here! 67 middle + hot bridge gives you what I'd consider the perfect tone for funky chords. The hot bridge tames the pushy middle pickup and produces a bright combination sound that is very pleasant to the ears.
Finally, the 58 neck + 67 bridge combination does something almost magical. I'm actually not a great fan of the trademark "quack" many people think a strat should have in this position, and here it is absent. Instead you get a "hollow" sound with a lot of frequencies canceled out. The result is a very elegant tone that has a beautiful and unique *character* to it, and that sits back in a mix with noble humility. Great for rhythm parts you don't wish to take over the mix! It's also a really good lead tone when you crank up the gain. The hollow sound reigns in the wobbly character of the inharmonic plain G string a bit and makes it sound a little cleaner. Good for that "singing" lead tone.
I'll finish by giving these pickups a wholehearted recommendation! Mixing pickups like I did is a very viable option if you can't decide which set you like best. Do they sound EXACTLY like single coils? No, they do not, but they are pretty close, and they sound great in their own right. I'd say they're just a little different from single coils, not worse.
P.S. A small tip is to adjust these pickups higher than you'd normally do with single coils. It gives more output and a higher signal to noise ratio, but it doesn't cause the magnets to pull too hard on the strings as normal single coils do (a guitar tone disease sometimes called "stratitis").

Excellent Tone & Value! Hey Jason, thanks for the follow up. The short version: Love It!!!
Long version: The quality of the build is excellent. Really love the easy terminal block connection. Makes it nice swapping back and forth between the Mojotone and my Sigler Andy Timmons setup. Most of all love the tone and (obviously) the quietness of the pickups. Very satisfied with your product! Cheers and have a great weekend

Awesome Pickups - great product & support I'm loving these pickups Mojotone "58 Quiet Coil w/Hot Bridge" Strat® Pickup Prewired Pickguard.
They have the simple clarity and frequency range of an authentic original Strat, modernized to reduce baseline noise levels but not lose tone! The whole product is well-made, with top-quality assembly, materials and parts.
The sound is clear, even-voiced and touch-responsive, they are indeed extremely quiet, even in flourescent/neon light areas!
The assembly came with pre-installed Treble Bleed and the 5-way pre-wired for M-B shared-tone, which, although a nice option, I wanted a different setup - Tech Dave Shepherd was extremely helpful and provided appropriate diagram to help me setup as-desired.
Kudos to MojoTone for a great innovation!

THESE ARE THE BUSINESS! '58 Quiet Coil 'Hot' prewired set with pickguard installed in my Strat. Wow, these are the business. Fantastic quiet tone, (I have the latest 'Elite' Fender noiseless to compare with). Beautifully wired up by 'Bruce', thanks from a very satisfied customer in the UK. I now have a Strat I can gig with without the noise.

Record label owner, producer I orderd a pre wired set for a 60's style strat with alder body and rw board. and it came right on time. And it sounds just amazing. I was expecting just less noise but not 'tone'. However, it blew me away with the 'tone' and nuance. You have to try it for yourself to feel the touch sensitivity and chime/quack of these pickups.
What a grear surprise!!!

Awesome! Yesterday I received the prewired Quiet Coils 58 Hot Bridge Pickguard
and I was impressed by the soldering and the general quality.
But after installing it I played the first notes I was totally blown away by the sound and feel of the pickups, no treble loss when turning down the volume and no 60s cycle hum as I expected....
My Robert Cray Signature Stratocaster never sounded better!
My wife said „hmmm....yeah, this sounds great...“ but she did not understand why I was so floored as she did not grew up with the hum that true singlecoils produce ;-)
These pickups sound so great that they would even be great option if you where just looking for another real good, dynamic low output singlecoil set.
They react to every picking dynamic, sound open and they can really bite if you want to let them bite ;-)
But the fact that they produce no hum is awesome!
As our son is 14 months old now I have to play my Laney L5 Class A valve head
with the integrated headphones in the evening.
You can imagine that the singlecoil hum is a bigger problem when playing with headphones!
It`s literally always in the head :-D
So the quiet coils are a real big deal for me and the first noiseless pickups that really SOUND like real singlecoils.
I always thought of purchasing another Strat with noiseless pickups as a backup for difficult live situations. That would have been a compromise in sound but with no hum in these situations.
But having true singlecoil sound without hum issues is so good.
Maybe I am one of the first customers from Germany with a prewired Quiet Coils pickguard and I will recommend this to my guitar playing friends as often as I can!

null I just put them into Fender I sold to my customer, and oooh man how they sound. If Rene Martinez SRV ones were in my top 5 pickups, these were at least as good as them and without any hum. I don't know what you did with these but, man you did well. If I can decide strat pickups to any of my builds after this experience they will be these. You can imagine how many pickups I have installed and tested in recent years and these were one of the top. Well done.

null Finally!!!! I have literally spent a small fortune on noiseless pickups from Dimarzio, Kinman, Fender, Zexcoil, Fishman, and ended up reverting back to real single coils everytime. The newer ones sounded far better than some of the older noiseless offerings, but they were still missing the feel and sound of a real single coil to my ears. I decided to take a chance on these new Mojotone '58 Quiet Coils and I'm glad I did. I thought wait a minute, did they send me single coils by mistake? Because they sound exactly like my single coils but without the noise! Hats off to Mojotone for getting a noiseless pickup to sound exactly right.

null I recently swapped out my most recent partscaster noiseless pickups that in all honesty, I was very happy with but felt were a little HiFi. I purchased and installed the 58 set after seeing the clips on YouTube on the MojoTone site. I was absolutely blown away at the tone and balance of the pickups! I have tried almost every brand of noiseless and have always felt a little short changed with the dynamics that most other brands had. The 58's are, by far, the best 50's style pickup I have ever had in a noiseless format!! I am anxious for the tele design to be introduced so I can use those for my next build.
null Guys ,thank you for all your efforts. You have nailed the old Strat sound I've been looking for years, with no noise.. The tone is dead nutz on the old 50's early 60's tone. I got the hot tone in the bridge and the others are the 58's ,no 60 cycle noise and I use the mid cont. as a blender(awesome idea),You guys really made me and ears very happy . B.B.

null Just received a '67 Quiet Coil wired pick guard. The wiring job is superb! I've never seen such care taken to do it right, it beats anything I've seen in my factory Fenders.
I'm really impressed and look forward to getting it wired into my Strat tomorrow to hear how it sounds.

customer I play out at bars with poor wiring, TV's, neon and flourencents.I keep two strats, one original 1972, all stock, #1 and one with noiseless pickup's for those times it's just to noisey an enviroment. I have tried "noiseless" pickups from four other manufacturers, they have ranged from awful to OK. Your's are OUTSTANDING ! By far so superior to all others they are in a league of their own. My band mates were also blown away, no more sighs when I have to drag out the "noiseless Strat". Thank you sooooo much. Jason Saris
