The all new patent applied for Mojotone ‘58 “Quiet Coil™ strat pickups beautifully capture the warmth and clarity of a ‘58 strat pickup with that extra fat low midrange associated with many of the best sounding 1958 strat pickups. Carefully balanced in output from the neck, middle, to bridge positions, and completely hum-canceling in ALL positions!
Our approach was very simple, to make a hum-cancelling strat pickup that looks and sounds like a real single coil with minimal parts and adhering to actual vintage single coil attributes. Aside from the parts and materials used, we also matched the resonant peak frequency, and inductance of a vintage single coil, so they sit right in the frequency response and feel of a traditional single coil, without having to compensate for it. ‘58 “Quiet Coil strat pickups are passive and only use the same parts and materials found in original vintage ‘58 strat pickups.
No PC boards, batteries, stacked coils, or anything else associated with other hum-canceling pickups were used in our design. The result is simply the most pure and authentic strat tone possible, with absolutely no loss of true single coil tone.
NOTE: With all Mojotone “Quiet Coil” pickups, you never have to worry about string spacing and fretboard radius issues, or the magnets pulling the strings out of tune, and you can bend the strings heavily without ever losing focus or sustain. All of this while achieving perfect single coil strat tone and absolutely no hum!
Quiet Coil Design Features... -Consistent scatterwound coils for that handwound tone, sensitivity, and clarity. -Vintage formulated Alnico magnet cores with lower Gauss levels like an aged vintage strat pickup. -Vintage cloth covered leads for easy push-back soldering. -Matched resonant peak frequency, inductance, and resistance of a vintage single coil. -Vintage staggered polepieces for a traditional strat pickup look. -No routing modifications are required to fit shallow vintage routs like the taller stacked hum-cancelling designs. -Less than 10 parts are used to build the Quiet Coils. Like a vintage strat pickup, they are SIMPLE!

guitarist I'm very impressed with the 58 hot bridge set I purchased... nice work... I find them to be the best I've crossed yet for quiet singles.. they are wonderful, shimmer yet are not annoying.. sounds like a great strat to me.. wonderful with my distortion pedals... can't wait to record with them next... I'm in love with playing single cols again, I have been only using under wound bridge with a single coil neck but now i'm using all the strat tone again with the quiet coils...

null I really hoped these would be great, but I'm disappointed. The unwound strings are pretty convincing... but on the wound strings, these sound like humbuckers to me. I put on a fresh set of 9.5's hoping it would help, but still get a dull thud... especially on the low E string. Going back to my single coils... expensive lesson learned. Still a fan of MOJO, as I'm a happy builder of several of their amp kits!

null I've just finished installing one of your pre-wired pickguards with the QuietCoil '58 set (SSS) and I'm very impressed. Not only are these some of the best sounding noise-cancelling Strat pickups I've ever heard, they are some of the best Strat pickups I've ever heard, period!
I've played at a pro and semi-pro level, and I've owned a lot of Strats throughout the years, including vintage and Fender Custom Shop, so I think I have some perspective on this subject. I hate single coil hum, and it always spoils my enjoyment of playing a Strat. I've often equipped my Strats with hum-cancelling pickups, but that's always been a compromise in tone.
These pickups sound better than my vintage-spec Custom Relic 60s Strat pickups - no contest. The noise cancellation is as good as any humbucker equipped guitar. The only quieter vintage-style pickups I've found are Kinmans, and they - well, for some reason they just didn't feel right - I can't explain it.
The sound of a pickup is one thing, but the feel of the pickup as it reacts to your touch is another thing. These pickups sound great and they feel right. I can't stop playing my Strat with these pickups installed in it, and that's the truest test of all.

null If I had to sum up the sound of these 58 quiet coils in one word I'd say "spanky"! These have all the character and sparkle of single coils and of course no noise! I'm very pleased with the pu'ps and the customer service.

The Real Deal I was really not sure about once again trying any new noiseless pickups. I've tried them all and was never quite satisfied. These are the real deal truthfully. I put this in my fat strat in the neck and middle and I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to put these in my standard strat with the hot bridge. I also can't wait to replace the Seymour Duncan vintage stacks with your broadcaster quiet coils for my telecaster! Move over kinman, Seymour Duncan, fender, and dimarzio. There's a new king in town!

I'm Sold Just installed the 58 quiet coils in the neck and middle position of my 96 lonestar strat with the seymour duncan pearly gates humbucker in the bridge. I must say these do sound and feel exactly like single coils with no buzz just as advertised. So far the others I've tried don't live up to the marketing hype. Now I'm getting all of my Hendrix and SRV tones with the subtle nuances I wasn't able to get with the areas or kinmans I had before. They was like knocking on a rotten board or something because they didn't ring or bloom at all, and switching to 500k pots just made them more shrill with no bottom end or warmth and still no clarity. But these quiet coils absolutely nail it! Can't wait to check out the tele ones!

null I just put them into Fender I sold to my customer, and oooh man how they sound. If Rene Martinez SRV ones were in my top 5 pickups, these were at least as good as them and without any hum. I don't know what you did with these but, man you did well. If I can decide strat pickups to any of my builds after this experience they will be these. You can imagine how many pickups I have installed and tested in recent years and these were one of the top. Well done.
Finally!!!! I have literally spent a small fortune on noiseless pickups from Dimarzio, Kinman, Fender, Zexcoil, Fishman, and ended up reverting back to real single coils everytime. The newer ones sounded far better than some of the older noiseless offerings, but they were still missing the feel and sound of a real single coil to my ears. I decided to take a chance on these new Mojotone '58 Quiet Coils and I'm glad I did. I thought wait a minute, did they send me single coils by mistake? Because they sound exactly like my single coils but without the noise! Hats off to Mojotone for getting a noiseless pickup to sound exactly right.
I recently swapped out my most recent partscaster noiseless pickups that in all honesty, I was very happy with but felt were a little HiFi. I purchased and installed the 58 set after seeing the clips on YouTube on the MojoTone site. I was absolutely blown away at the tone and balance of the pickups! I have tried almost every brand of noiseless and have always felt a little short changed with the dynamics that most other brands had. The 58's are, by far, the best 50's style pickup I have ever had in a noiseless format!! I am anxious for the tele design to be introduced so I can use those for my next build.
Just received a '67 Quiet Coil wired pick guard. The wiring job is superb! I've never seen such care taken to do it right, it beats anything I've seen in my factory Fenders.
I'm really impressed and look forward to getting it wired into my Strat tomorrow to hear how it sounds.
retired-old happy G.P. Guys ,thank you for all your efforts. You have nailed the old Strat sound I've been looking for years, with no noise.. The tone is dead nutz on the old 50's early 60's tone. I got the hot tone in the bridge and the others are the 58's ,no 60 cycle noise and I use the mid cont. as a blender(awesome idea),You guys really made me and ears very happy . B.B.

customer I play out at bars with poor wiring, TV's, neon and flourencents.I keep two strats, one original 1972, all stock, #1 and one with noiseless pickup's for those times it's just to noisey an enviroment. I have tried "noiseless" pickups from four other manufacturers, they have ranged from awful to OK. Your's are OUTSTANDING ! By far so superior to all others they are in a league of their own. My band mates were also blown away, no more sighs when I have to drag out the "noiseless Strat". Thank you sooooo much. Jason Saris
