Hobby Builder/Weekend Musician I have built two instruments using Knockouts- a T-style for a friend and former bandmate and an S-style (neck and middle with a bridge HB) for personal use. The construction is exemplary and the tone outstanding. David has also been very helpful answering my questions over the past few years. These pickups give you just a little something extra that can set your sound apart from the legions of Fender players out there. More girth, great sustain and focus, never thin or tinny. Enough juice that you can back down your volume and have a full, rich clean tone and kick it up when you want that bite. I wired the T-style with a four way switch to get neck and bridge in series- super fat lead tone. Twang on steroids! On the S-style, they pair very nicely with my humbucker, and the split sound of the middle/bridge has plenty of quack- but again, a good bit more fullness and sustain. Highly recommend these pickups!

null Awesome pickups. It embodies what I love about p90s...the fat, juicy tone while maintaining clarity. They are warm and have great sustain and will clean up or have a great gain tone. It the neck you can get very nice clean or SRV tones while in the bridge there is nice chunky distortion, not thin sounding like many strat bridge pickups but they still sound like strat pickups.
