Extremely balanced, vintage tone with a little country honk and a touch of classic blues. Perfect for country, blues, bluegrass, and funk. Ideal for a one, 2, or 4x10" open- or closed-back setup. 75W RMS handling, 150W peak. 8 ohm impedance. Eminence recommends the Copperhead as a direct replacement speaker in the Fender G-DEC 30, Fender Princeton Recording, and the Behringer V-tone GMX210 combo amplifiers.
null I built a 6G16 (Vibroverb) and used two Weber 10" in it. While those are fine speakers, they are very low power and therefore started to break up very early in the volume sweep. I was after a cleaner, more "Knopfler" type of tone. I opted for two of these Copperheads and man let me tell you, they fit the bill perfectly! What a difference! Since they are 75 watt speakers the don't even come close to breakup at any volume range I use. I highly recommend them if clean tone is your goal. I built the power filter section a little more beefy than the original design and this amp really delivers tight punchy low-end which these speakers deliver in spades. From there on up to dog-frequencies they shine.
