This is a 220K resistor in parallel with a 471pf capacitor. The capacitor acts as a "treble bleed" to preserve high end frequencies, while the resistor improves the taper when rolling back your volume potentiometer.
We use these in many of our pre-wired guitar assemblies.

The volume mods are soldered in parallel between the first and second lugs (2 open lugs) of the volume pot.

This mod cap filter works almost perfectly within any kind of pickups configuration and, specially on humbuckers with a moderated output range.

Not to be nitpicky but it's actually a 470pF capacitor. The '1' in '471' is the multiplier. (47 x 10).
