Self Guitar Tech I have read about the "Bumble Bee" old school vintage Capacitors that were used on Gibson and other Guitars from the 1950's.It has been said that these caps produced the real vintage sound from that era. Old stock piles and used ones have been for sale buy at your risk. I installed the .022 bumble bee on my 2002 Agile Les Paul Bridge pickup tone control circuit. The guitar has a natural 1970's vintage voice tone with alnico 4 magnet pickups. The Mojtone Bumble bee cap enhanced that sound. It is a great audiophile Tone capacitor. I would not limit it to 1950's vintage. It would do wonders on any modern pickup with alnico magnets.
