A thing of beauty I never write reviews but your the pre-wire kit is so sweet I had to. The change in tone is beyond belief and I can finally make my SG/Boogie mark ii sing. Wow. I have spent years changing tubes and tweaking my amp and your pre-wire kit for my SG makes it sound like gold. I literally cannot make it sound bad. Many thanks Mojotone. This a very high quality kit (pots/caps/wiring/switch). It is a very well done 50s wiring rig without too little drop off at lower volumes. I can finally jam late at night in the house! I replaced 300k stock pots on an SG faded; the 500k pots make it scream and this pre-wired kit is perfect; most of all in tone improvement. For SG owners - the shafts were longer than my stock and the knobs will be about 1/8" off of the body. No biggy as that is the vintage look right. Also had to adjust the slots on 2 of them to get the knobs to stick. Be careful if doing that (videos online), but it works great - no need to buy new. Now for some rockin...

null I can't explain it. I ride the volume and tone all the way up all the time. Bought a used 87 SG custom and it sounded like crap with any pickup i put in it.
So i replaced the harness with one of these and it sounds amazing now! Great upgrade!

Sounds great but where is the wire I recently purchased a 17 SG, the stock pots all had a different feeling (some gritty) and one volume kept crackling. The stock pcb/pots had muffled/muddy sound when knobs where turned down, it was pretty bad..
After attempting to get Gibson to send $20-$30. worth of real pots under warranty I was told the only thing I would get is another PCB set up.. so I ordered the Mojotone SG kit and installed it.
The kit was missing all the extra wire stated it came with. Running a fresh ground would have been nice while I had it all apart. The only install problem I had was the hard ground that comes attached to the pots had to be reheated to move the solder joint, the pots wouldn't drop in completely till I did that, No big deal.
The sound..! Wow!! I really couldn't believe the difference in the clarity.. I play mostly blues and standard tuning slide blues with a chewy cleanish tone. The string bends, I could have just been getting used to mud of stock but I swear I could hear the fibers of the note stretching on the bends and other harmonics were coming in on slide that added to the vocal quality I go for. I'm truly impressed, worth the price all day long! You could still send me that missing wire though.. ;)

Excellent upgrade! This totally transformed the tone and reliability of my Epiphone EB3 (SG style) bass. Snug but perfect fit. Thank you again MojoTone for your great customer service and technical perfection!!! Recently used the bass on an important track in the studio and it was over the top with a new set up pickups and this pre-wired control kit. Thank you. Next purchase coming soon...
