"...if you want to get as close as possible to vintage Gibson humbucker tone, the ’59 PAF Clones are a great way to go." -Guitar Player Magazine, May 2014

The 59' "Patent Applied For" Clones are for the tone purist. Authentic to every detail using all American made parts. 1959 spec butyrate bobbins, 1959 spec long leg frame, custom vintage spec plain enamel wire, custom alnico 4 cast magnets, maple spacer, vintage spec screws, and vintage spec slugs.

These are lower output than our standard version, making them much more articulate and crisp. Ideal for dark sounding guitars or just a neck pickup that needs a more single coil like clarity. The upper frequency range has exceptional bloom and lots of airy tone with the un-potted coils. We meticulously wound each coil with our own pattern and offset to represent what we believe to be the best vintage P.A.F. examples out there.

Best replacement humbuckers

by GB -

In a quest for the pickups that would convince me not to sell a Gibson SG Standard (loved everything about the guitar except for the crappy-sounding stock pickups), I bought a pair of second-hand Mojotone low-wind 59s.
Well, that SG isn’t going anywhere now.
These pickups are amazing.
I like low-output. I mostly play clean or low-gain dirt.
String-to-string definition, clarity, spank, perfect amount of low-mids & treble… I’m sold. I even tried setting them stupidly far down / away from the strings and they still sound great.

Finally, a clear, rich neck pickup with no mud!

by Phil S -

My first great guitar was a 1961 SG Les Paul Custom with three PAFs. In recent years I have tried everything, every great brand and winder, trying to find a neck humbucker that had the clarity and sweetness of the PAF in the neck position of that first great guitar. Nothing worked until I tried the Mojotone Low Output. Finally, a humbucker that doesn't muffle the response of the wound strings. This is THE pickup for clean playing in the neck position, more beautiful sounding and clearer than famous boutique winds costing four times as much.
