British Style 100W Lead / Bass Guitar Tube Amp Kit

Crank it up to 10 and let this amp sing. Modeled after the well-known Marshall Super Lead 100 and the Marshall Super Bass 100, this amp offers as much gain as it does tone. Bridge the channels like you would an original and get the clarity and gain of the first channel, and beef it up with the warmth of the second channel. This kit includes 4 JJ EL34 tubes and 3 12AX7 preamp tubes that bring this Class A/B amp into a realm of its own. The amp kit includes the parts to build either the Lead circuit or Bass circuit.

Mojotone reserves the right to change or substitute any and all of the parts contained in this amplifier kit without advertisement or notification to the buyer. Part substitutions made by Mojotone are guaranteed not to affect the integrity or operation of your amplifier kit. Time estimates listed are from start to finish. If you are new to tube amplifiers, additional time may need to be factored.

When purchasing a kit from Mojotone, you will receive the following documentation.

1. Schematic

2. Wiring Diagram / Layout

If you purchase a kit from Mojotone and do not receive these documents, you can obtain copies by emailing tech@mojotone.com or calling 800-927-6656. The Mojotone staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST unless otherwise closed.

Mojotone kits include the best quality parts that are available at the time of purchase. If a substitution is required, our team will use parts that are of equal quality to ensure the integrity of the kit build remains the same.

Building a fully functional amplifier kit is not an easy task. Before building a kit, one should have the ability to properly solder as well as read and understand a schematic and wiring diagram. While we do our very best to ensure all documentation is current, the included documentation is meant to serve as an overall guide to building the amplifier. Simply following the schematic and wiring diagram does not guarantee you will have a fully functional amplifier. In fact, post build troubleshooting is a common issue across all builds.

Our staff is available to assist with basic troubleshooting needs. There are plenty of online videos available that are helpful with most post build issues. Technical staff is available via email by sending a message to tech@mojotone.com. You may also call our sales team to discuss build problems, dial 800-927-6656 and press 1 for sales.

Building a tube amplifier takes time, dedication, resources and most importantly... Skills! The experience of building an amp can come with some frustration, the reward of completing the build is definitely well worth your time. Please review the wiring diagram, schematic and manual (if applicable) prior to making your purchase. Mojotone will not accept any returns on amplifier kits and/or parts that have been assembled, soldered or modified.

Good quality parts. The kit assembled pretty easy.

"This was actually my first tube amp build. I have experience building pedals and repairing amps. It worked after I put it together and sounds great. I like the quality of the chassis. Good quality transformers, pots, capacitors and resistors came with the kit."

It sounds right

"Built amp for son's graduation. Couple full Saturdays to build. Mojotone promptly shipped 2 missing parts. One bad solder joint took few hours to find. Son wanted to cry after first song he played "The New" by Interpol. Says he had been playing it for months and this was first time it sounded right. Will rock his college band. Versatile sounds great bass or lead guitar."

Tom (5/5)

Nice clean sounding amp

"Lacks characteristic plexi tone. Preamp is clean w/o much distortion by design, need to max volume for plexi sounds. However this lacks the sounds i was wanting to hear even at full volume."

Monster Bass Amp

"Best kit you can buy! I converted this amp to us 6550 as a bass amp. Sounds UNREAL! Please support Mojotone and learn how to build amps. Such a rewarding journey."

Doug (5/5)

I am very happy with my purchase.

"I purchased this amp earlier this year. I put the completed amp up side by side with my vintage 1970 100 Watt Marshall Superlead and there is almost no difference in the quality of tone. It is the same beast. Side by side anybody should be happy with this if they are looking at reproducing a clone of the original. I am very happy with my purchase. Do not however buy this if you do not have prior experience building amps or the ability to do some research to understand the process. I am a relative novice at this and instead of the 7 hour build time advertised, it took me 47 hours. It was a great learning experience and I plan on buying more kits in the future."

i have nothing but good stuff to say about you guys

"I stood this thing next to my bamdmates 1987x 50 watt Marshal Plexi and the tone was spot on with no differences in fact i liked mine more as it has a little more high and mid range, overall thank you guys again for helping me out and repairing it, i have nothing but good stuff to say about you guys and ive recommended Mojo to many of my fellow musicians! If you ever need to check up you know how to get ahold of me! Cheers!"

Sounds great. Fun build.

"I really enjoyed building this amp head. I added a PPIMV and an effects loop. It's been my go to for about a year now. Got my eyes on the Princeton kit next! Good stuff Mojotone!"
