KALEN OTTE
CHIEF OPERATIONS MANAGER, AMP INSTRUCTOR
Born and raised in Western Nebraska, Kalen brings more than 15 years of amp-building expertise to Mojotone Workshops. After serving 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, he joined Mojotone as Operations Manager in 2024. A lifelong guitar enthusiast, Kalen is deeply passionate about the craft and culture of guitar gear.

"AJ" ANDY JOHNSON
ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING, AMP SUPPORT MANAGER & AMP INSTRUCTOR
Hailing from Wilmington, NC, AJ has been a pillar of Mojotone for over 12 years. As our go-to expert for amp technical support and electronics manufacturing, AJ loves sharing his knowledge about vintage gear, high-gain tones, and everything in between.

SCOTT EWELL
AMPLIFIER PRODUCTION LEAD & AMP INSTRUCTOR
Originally from Raleigh, NC, Scott is a guitarist and gear tech with over 15 years of experience modifying and servicing guitars. After earning a degree in Music Technology from UNC Asheville, Scott launched his amp-building career with Port City Amps before joining Mojotone in early 2025. He now leads amp and pickup winder production with precision, creativity, and a love for high-performance tone.

NICK ELDRED
PICKUP DESIGN, WINDING SPECIALIST & PICKUP INSTRUCTOR
Originally from Minnesota and raised in Sanford, NC, Nick brings over 15 years of pickup-winding precision and product innovation to Mojotone. Known for his deep knowledge of wiring techniques and tone shaping, Nick helps students dial in their perfect sound.

ZACH HILLMAN
PICKUP TECHNICIAN & PICKUP INSTRUCTOR
Born and raised in Wilmington, NC, Zach is a dedicated and detail-driven pickup technician at Mojotone. With a deep appreciation for both classic and aggressive guitar tones, Zach channels his passion into every build. His love for music and craftsmanship is matched only by his creative spirit and drive to help others find their sound.
