"...if you want to get as close as possible to vintage Gibson humbucker tone, the ’59 PAF Clones are a great way to go." -Guitar Player Magazine, May 2014

The 59' "Patent Applied For" Clones are for the tone purist. Authentic to every detail using all American made parts. 1959 spec butyrate bobbins, 1959 spec long leg frame, custom vintage spec plain enamel wire, custom alnico 4 cast magnets, maple spacer, vintage spec screws, and vintage spec slugs.

These are very clear and warm with lots of single note articulation. The upper frequency range has exceptional bloom and lots of airy tone with the un-potted coils. We meticulously wound each coil with our own pattern and offset to represent what we believe to be the best vintage P.A.F. examples out there.

Stock with vintage single conductor external braided leads and 49.2mm string spacing just like the originals. Un-potted coils.

Trash to Treasure

by Elias

I used to dislike the sound of my Gibson SG so much that I never played it. After getting these pickups, AND changing my wiring to 50's style, it's now my #1 instrument again, and with great pride. I can't emphasize how important it is to do both those things. The guitar speaks so much more clearly, and is tactile and expressive. I.M.O. 50's wiring is critical if you'd rather not keep Tone + Vol. on 10 all the time. For me, all the new voices I'm able to have with my SG is a total game changer.

Gibson SG 2009 faded special upgrade 🤘🤘

by Anders Nilsson

Hello

I play guitar … and a lot of them. My girlfriend say what do you need them all for. As you know we guitar nerds need them all. I have expensive guitars and cheep. This one I am thinking of today is my Gibson SG special faded. I played this one years ago by I stopped it was muddy. I changed the stock pickups to the 59 clones. Ohhhh yes the muddy mess is gone . Now it is a clear rock machine. They fitted great in the bat scratch plate. Super great. I am happy.
