Mojotone Amp Work Shop

Tools & Supplies: All tools and shop supplies will be provided for your use during the class.
Location: The Mojotone Amp Build Workshop is hosted at our shop at 137 WORTH BEVERAGE DRIVE BURGAW, NC 28425
What to Expect: You will spend two days with our instructors who will guide you through the build, explain amp circuit concepts, and basic electronics. You will be soldering, assembling and genuinely getting your hands inside an amplifier.
Hosted and lead by MojoTone’s Production and Tech Manager Andy Johnson, this two-day program will take you through a classic “Tweed Style” amp build where you will learn soldering techniques, general amp circuit theory and an overview of what makes the “5E3” circuit a ubiquitous blueprint for countless amplifiers.
You will be guided through the build process, learn to read a wiring diagram and be shown how to use a schematic. Instructors are on hand to quickly address any questions and to help troubleshoot issues if you run into a problem.
By the end of the two-day workshop, you will have hand wired your very own tube amp to enjoy for years to come and have a better understanding of what makes a tube amp so special.

These guys take pride in building and testing each and everyone of these amps,, I've had the privilege of watching from beginning to end and without a doubt these little babies has a much bigger sound their looks,,,so I had to on one and now that's all I carry with me,,,compact with a big tweed punch,,, definitely 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I attended the two day Tweed Deluxe amp build class in October. I can't say enough positive things about the experience! The first day started with a tour of Mojotone's impressive operation by the CEO. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly, positive and professional. It's very evident that the employees love what they do. Most of the amp wiring was finished by the end of the first day, the second day was used to put the finishing touches on and test the circuits. With almost zero experience, I was able to build a classic '57 Tweed Deluxe that sounds amazing. The instructors were awesome, very knowledgeable and helpful. If hanging out with friendly guitar and amp enthusiasts for two days sounds like fun, I highly recommend this class! I also recommend bringing reading glasses and a headlamp for the close up work. Everything else is provided for you.
