Tired of playing through those kiddie practice amps that lack tone as much as they do quality? Try our Mojotone Studio One Amplifier and bring awesome tube tone to your home or studio. Equipped with a single 12BH7, two 12AX7 tubes, and a 12AY7, this tiny amp works well in the studio or mic’d up on stage. And don’t be shy to put some pedals in front of it either, because it does play nicely with them.
About one watt of output sounds awesome for studio or home use! This is an ideal amp for the gain of an 800 style amp at low volumes. Stock setup includes 12BH7 for running as an output tube, however you can run a 12AU7 or 12AT7 for less output volume.

When purchasing a kit from Mojotone, you will receive the following documentation.
2. Wiring Diagram / Layout
Our beginner level kits such as the tweed champ and tweed deluxe include a manual. If you purchase a kit from Mojotone and do not receive these documents, you can obtain copies by emailing email@example.com or calling 800-927-6656. The Mojotone staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST unless otherwise closed.
Mojotone kits include the best quality parts that are available at the time of purchase. If a substitution is required, our team will use parts that are of equal quality to ensure the integrity of the kit build remains the same.
Building a fully functional amplifier kit is not an easy task. Before building a kit, one should have the ability to properly solder as well as read and understand a schematic and wiring diagram. While we do our very best to ensure all documentation is current, the included documentation is meant to serve as an overall guide to building the amplifier. Simply following the schematic and wiring diagram does not guarantee you will have a fully functional amplifier. In fact, post build troubleshooting is a common issue across all builds.
Our staff is available to assist with basic troubleshooting needs. There are plenty of online videos available that are helpful with most post build issues. Technical staff is available via email by sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also call our sales team to discuss build problems, dial 800-927-6656 and press 1 for sales.
Building a tube amplifier takes time, dedication, resources and most importantly... Skills! The experience of building an amp can come with some frustration, the reward of completing the build is definitely well worth your time. Please review the wiring diagram, schematic and manual (if applicable) prior to making your purchase. Mojotone will not accept any returns on amplifier kits and/or parts that have been assembled, soldered or modified.

Just finished off this amp. Great sounding distortion on "Marshall" channel. I play the pedal steel and wanted a distortion sound kind of amp for home playing. Great sounding when playing single note runs and chords too. Chords don't mush out with this amp. Not to say you hear all three notes at once in a sustained chord just a great melding of sound. If you want low volume distorto crunch with a lot of character this amp delivers. I'm surprised the amp isn't as bright as I wanted but what I hear is fine for midrange sleeze when playing slide guitar type of riffs.
Great sound in a little package

This amp sounds great, and is very loud for being only 1 watt. I had fun putting it together, and wouldn't mind building another one in the future.
There are some things to be aware of, though, if you intend on building this amp: 1) The bolts for mounting the transformers are a bit too short, as is the solid buss ground wire. 2) The speaker impedance switch is mounted directly over the phase inverter socket. I feel the switch should have been mounted between the socket and the can capacitor for more room. 3) The LED in the kit is on the schematic, but not on the wiring diagram, and no hole in the chassis. 4) Lastly, it's advertised as having only a 5-hour build time. I'm an experienced amp builder, have built several effects pedals, and have been an electronic technician for over 30 years. It took me 25-30 hours to build this amp. However, I'm very meticulous, so perhaps that's why it took me longer to build it.
