Good construction at a good price. Diameter of glass is a bit larger than vintage 12ax7. Robust pins and thicker glass.
Tone has character - those looking for earlier breakup and a bit of grain and a bit more harmonic content from their tubes might like these. I don't think gain is higher or lower than normal but they do make the amp break up a bit sooner. They are bright but there's some graininess to the highs. Not pristine.
Paint on exterior rubs off pretty quickly. Move them a few times and they will look blank.
Overall for clean Fender applications, this imparts some light character and has some nice harmonic content, but lacks clear brightness and clean detail.
Those pushing their amps should probably judge for themselves - seems like a good tube for a Marshall 18 watt.
