Mojotone’s Tweed Vibrolux Style Amp Kit is a one-of-a-kind gem when it comes to clones. This 10 Watt tone machine was originally based on the Fender Harvard but with an added tremolo circuit. The Harvard and Vibrolux are two of the more rare Tweed era amps — we were so intrigued by the sound of a beautiful tremolo coming through a high fidelity Tweed style circuit that we just had to make it into a kit!
Featuring two 6V6s, two 12AX7s, and one 5Y3, our Vibrolux is every bit as clear and chimey as the original. The Anthem 10" 35 Watt speaker was a great match for this circuit due to its ability to produce a smoother break up than some of its lower wattage relatives — this particular speaker also remains articulate when the tremolo function is stretched to its extremes.
The control panel is extremely user friendly, consisting of depth and speed (for the tremolo), a single tone control and a single volume control. There are three instruments inputs on this 5F11 circuit as it was originally designed to allow for the use of multiple guitars or multiple other instruments, just like a lot of the other Tweed era designs.
We have a multi-tap output transformer available for this kit which features 4, 8, and 16 Ohm speaker output secondary taps. Find it here:Tweed Deluxe® Multi-Tap Output TransformerThis transformer is sold separately.

When purchasing a kit from Mojotone, you will receive the following documentation.
- Wiring Diagram / Layout
Our beginner level kits such as the tweed champ and tweed deluxe include a manual. If you purchase a kit from Mojotone and do not receive these documents, you can obtain copies by emailing email@example.com or calling 800-927-6656. The Mojotone staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST unless otherwise closed.
Mojotone kits include the best quality parts that are available at the time of purchase. If a substitution is required, our team will use parts that are of equal quality to ensure the integrity of the kit build remains the same.
Building a fully functional amplifier kit is not an easy task. Before building a kit, one should have the ability to properly solder as well as read and understand a schematic and wiring diagram. While we do our very best to ensure all documentation is current, the included documentation is meant to serve as an overall guide to building the amplifier. Simply following the schematic and wiring diagram does not guarantee you will have a fully functional amplifier. In fact, post build troubleshooting is a common issue across all builds.
Our staff is available to assist with basic troubleshooting needs. There are plenty of online videos available that are helpful with most post build issues. Technical staff is available via email by sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also call our sales team to discuss build problems, dial 800-927-6656 and press 1 for sales.
Building a tube amplifier takes time, dedication, resources and most importantly... Skills! The experience of building an amp can come with some frustration, the reward of completing the build is definitely well worth your time. Please review the wiring diagram, schematic and manual (if applicable) prior to making your purchase. Mojotone will not accept any returns on amplifier kits and/or parts that have been assembled, soldered or modified.

I’m so happy! Wish I had built this amp sooner!
This was my first kit. I do have some prior experience with wiring up electronics, most automotive/aerospace stuff. I found the kit to be very easy to build inspite no detailed instructions. I leaned on the 5e3 instruction manual given its similarity and used the schematic and wiring diagram for the kit and it worked out fine. I did make a mistake and had to fix that self-inflicted issue.
I turned out dead quiet and is so warm and musical with the tremolo. I used a 12” Vintage 30 just as a test speaker, but I like the sounds I’m getting so it’s staying for now. I might do a 12” alnico Jupiter in the future. For now, I can’t stop playing it.

I love this amp. I put it in a custom 1x12 cabinet so its about the size of a tweed deluxe. I've also got a multi tap output transformer in mine so I can pair it with a 1x15 extension cab. It sounds great the tremolo wonderful.
