Good value. Good tone.

I installed these in a '68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb. I had already removed the disappointing Celestion Ten 30's which came with it. I had installed a set of the Italian Jensens (green frame) which were a marked improvement. Still wanting something better, I've tried a set of the Anthems. They're decent enough and I think I'll keep them after some more break-in occurs. I play three nights a week - every week - and the speakers have now got about 27 hours on them. They still sound stiff and a little dull to me, but I'm hoping for improvement as time goes by. I also installed new JJ tubes and biased the power tubes at 66% - the max I could get out of them. All in all, I like them and hope to love them in time. FWIW, I primarily play a 2003 Guild Park Avenue archtop, an American Pro Strat and a Benedetto Bambino. Cheers, all.

Very musical speakers

These are great speakers. Nice tight bottom end, not boomy. Lovely mids and crisp highs but not shrill. Very musical. Mojotone makes great stuff.
