Volume Mod for Guitars
Keep more of your tone!
This is a 220K resistor in parallel with a 471pf capacitor. The capacitor acts as a "treble bleed" to preserve high end frequencies, while the resistor improves the taper when rolling back your volume potentiometer.
We use these in many of our pre-wired guitar assemblies.

The volume mods are soldered in parallel between the first and second lugs (2 open lugs) of the volume pot.

High end sparkle?

The cap is marked 471.
That’s .00047 !
Man that seems really small compared to the usual .022.
Comments anyone? I want to hear the high end sparkle in my Sire H7 semi hollow body ES 335 style.

This volume mod works as stated. Treble is retained as volume is decreased. In combination with the Mojotone Vintage Taper pot, I now have consistent tone over the entire sweep of the volume pot. Perfect.
