Volume Mod for Guitars
This is a 220K resistor in parallel with a 471pf capacitor. The capacitor acts as a "treble bleed" to preserve high end frequencies, while the resistor improves the taper when rolling back your volume potentiometer.
We use these in many of our pre-wired guitar assemblies.
These are made in house. Please contact Sales if you plan to order a large quantity as that may delay your order from being shipped.

Recently rewired a 335 with mojotone's pre-wired harness and included this volume mod capacitor in the process. Everything sounded great except the guitar was a little thin, especially on the high end. I figured this "treble bleed" capacitor was the reason and I cut it out of the circuit. Big mistake- the tone went flat in comparison. This simple capacitor brings so much life and sparkle it's surprising. In this case, it creates kind of a "fender jangle" from humbuckers. Definitely worth a try in any guitar.

I'll add one more to the chorus. It's very important to me that my tone stays the same as I roll down the volume on my guitar. In my mind, if I want the tone to change, that's what the tone pot is for. I ride the guitar volume quite a bit to control both volume and gain as I play, and without this modification the tone gets muddy in a hurry when turning down. I've experimented quite a bit with capacitor and resistor values and this kit from Mojotone is the best combination I've found. The kit is put together neatly and is ready for quick installation. I have this in my Telecasters, Les Paul and 335 and it works great in all of them.
