The 59' "Patent Applied For" Clones are for the tone purist. Authentic to every detail using all American made parts. 1959 spec butyrate bobbins, 1959 spec long leg frame, custom vintage spec plain enamel wire, custom alnico 4 cast magnets, maple spacer, vintage spec screws, and vintage spec slugs.

These are very clear and warm with lots of single note articulation. The upper frequency range has exceptional bloom and lots of airy tone with the un-potted coils. We meticulously wound each coil with our own pattern and offset to represent what we believe to be the best vintage P.A.F. examples out there.

Stock with vintage single conductor external braided leads and 49.2mm string spacing just like the originals. Un-potted coils.

Perfect 59 Clone Pickup for ES 335

I was looking for a vintage sound out of my Gibson ES 335 and the stock Gibson t-type sounded ok but were way to aggressive and biting so I was looking to change. I knew Mojo Tone made quality pups as I have a set of Tele Quite Coils in my vintage Telecaster. So after doing a bunch of research I decided to try the 59 Clone set and I am very glad I did. These pups are not wax potted but do distortion extremely well and are very quiet. Neck pickup has that creamy full sound without the mud of so many neck buckers and the notes ring out. The bridge pup has just enough cut through for blues rock tone and does well with distortion and overdrive. The middle position is tone heaven and all 3 positions work great with volume and tone selection changes. All in all the perfect pickup combo for what I was looking for. Well done Mojo Tone!

Real Classic LP sound

I bought a set via Thomann to upgrade my Epi LP. After reading hundreds of reviews, forums, watching videos, etc., I decided to get the Mojotone 59 Clones (regular) and I couldn't be happier. I installed the set with 0,022 uF Orange Drop caps and 50s wiring. The sound is amazing, from clean to hi gain everything is just perfect (note separation with hi gain ist astonishing) , allowing all possible nuances when playing dynamically or using the volume & tone knobs. I just love these pickups. Strictly recommended for a real classic LP sound.
