"...if you want to get as close as possible to vintage Gibson humbucker tone, the ’59 PAF Clones are a great way to go." -Guitar Player Magazine, May 2014

These '59 "Patent Applied For" Clones are for the tone purist. Authentic to every detail using all American made parts. 1959 spec butyrate bobbins, 1959 spec long leg frame, custom vintage spec plain enamel wire, custom alnico 4 cast magnets, maple spacer, vintage spec screws, and vintage spec slugs.

These are lower output than our standard version, making them much more articulate and crisp while retaining the same amazing touch sensitivity. Ideal for dark sounding guitars or just a neck pickup that needs a more single coil like clarity. The upper frequency range has exceptional bloom and lots of airy tone with the un-potted coils. We meticulously wound each coil with our own pattern and offset to represent what we believe to be the best vintage P.A.F. examples out there.

Clean vintage tones!

by Stuart

What a huge upgrade! I put these in my 91 Gibson Tennessean (replacing the stock 490T & 492R) and it has made a world of difference. Great dynamics and very balanced. I can hear each string and nothing is getting muddied together. Clean and crisp notes with the amazing 60's 355 tone I was looking for.

After 47 years the old Les Paul finally gets to sing. Thanks Mojotone!

by Phil P

I bought a black 'n gold Les Paul custom new in 1978. I gigged it a lot in the early days but it was mud, mud , and more mud. The original neck pickup died in the '80s and I bought a Gibson replacement. No improvement. I put some EMGs in. Better but no mojo. The guitar was put in its case and forgotten for decades while I played other things. A few months back I saw a YT vid of an R8 with Mojotones and was impressed. I decided to give it a shot. Nothing to lose. I did new pots and an ABR1 bridge. Now the old LP is my #1 go to guitar. Simply stunning tones. If only it was as easy to shave 4lbs off it!
