The 59' "Patent Applied For" Clones are for the tone purist. Authentic to every detail using all American made parts. 1959 spec butyrate bobbins, 1959 spec long leg frame, custom vintage spec plain enamel wire, custom alnico 4 cast magnets, maple spacer, vintage spec screws, and vintage spec slugs. 


These are lower output than our standard version, making them much more articulate and crisp. Ideal for dark sounding guitars or just a neck pickup that needs a more single coil like clarity. The upper frequency range has exceptional bloom and lots of airy tone with the un-potted coils. We meticulously wound each coil with our own pattern and offset to represent what we believe to be the best vintage P.A.F. examples out there.

Mojotone Low Output 59's The Best !!!

Got these pickups with Aged covers few months ago along with the Bumblebee .015/.022 caps, Replaced the Seymour Duncan APH1 on my Gibson R8 Les Paul for these pickups and the sound is AMAZING ! Vintage sounding Tones, Think of Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Led Zeppeling you got it.
I really love these pickups.
I have a bunch of great guitars but My R8 with the Mojotone Low Output pickups is my best sounding of all.

I own a Gibson Custom Shop '58 Les Paul that I bought in 2006. I lived with the #1 & #2 Burst Buckers (hated them) that it came with until 2014, then I installed Classic 57's which were better, but still "N.G." So, Nov. 2019, I bought the MojoTone 59 Clones Low Output and I have to say ……………. THERE IS A GOD !!!!!!!!!

My LP still sounds like an LP but nice and clear, got rid of the mud. As David wrote in his review they have the power and yet, very articulate. I can't thank MojoTone enough, 13 years it took me to find these pickups and "the sound" that I've been looking for. I would put the MojoTone '59 Clones up against any of the "Vintage Reissue" PAF's out there that cost twice the price. Buy these pickups without fear, your going to love them!
